Maybe beeing a lilited edition is better for is resale value in the future or maybe not.
Anyway not with Omega, mybe the Liquid Metal 1948 made, will be a diffrent story. |

I bought a LNIB 3750.50 a couple of years ago and after initial issues were fixed under warranty by Nesbit's Service of Seattle (after Womble Watch in Atlanta failed to fix the problem twice and kept the watch for months), I have loved the watch. It is a keeper in my collection. Cheers, Bill P.

IMO, the best Speedy Pro choice is a gently used 3572.50 (Hesalite Crystal/Sapphire Displayback) for around £1250 - $1850, complete.
I can't think of a better bargain. aug09-speedy2.jpg speedy2.jpg

There's nothing wrong with a little limited edition though.

Mate it depends on what limited edition watch you are talking about as in my opinion some of the LE are a little ugly.
The 3570 is an awesome watch or as an alternate a 3573 sapphire sandwich or as shown earlier, the now discontinued 3572. Cheers |

I go along with Aaron on this question of limited editions.
Some are a little.....overly different, a lot have too much happening on the dial for me that give it more of a 'fanboy' persona than the tool watch character which was the original intent of the watch The Speedie 50th Anniversary limited is an awesome package, but the price is aleady so high at around $10K. I think Paul's suggestion is very astute, and getting the Hensalite Crystal and Sapphire Displayback at that price point is pretty sweet for sure.

limited edition = no-brainer
For my opinion, buying a limited edition that you like would be a no-brainer. It's much easier to go back and get a non limited edition watch. You also don't have that pressure of I might miss it and regret it.
Example: I do like the brown speedy, but had a choice to get the meteorite dial for a "great price". I still think about the brown dial speedy, but am very happy that I got the limited edition one. If you can get them for a cheaper price, than it's even that much better.
