Pearl inset Missing from Bezel on Submariner?

Hi everyone,

am just wondering how common it is for the pearl inset to drop out from the top of the bezel? I have a 10yr old Sub ND & am gutted mine has done a dissapearing act on me, but what makes things twice as bad is my watch was in the jewellers having a routine service and this is how it was given back to me. I am in no way blaming my jeweller as the watch was serviced off site but I think I need a bit of ammo from you guys regarding how I deal with the situation. My jeweller is replacing the pearl no problem but my concern is that the watch may have been dropped or abused in some way and also if a genuine Rolex replacement will be fitted. Feel I needed to write this post to help with my dilemma.

Cheers
Sparky

Well yes they do come out sometimes by just wearing but its not a everyday occurrence. As you live in the UK a new insert can be bought from RSC London for around £25-£35 thats fitted while you wait.

Happened to me once many years ago on my sub date. Found it though and super-glued it back in!! Never had a problem after that! So I guess it does happen!
