What are the specs on the desktop? I always build my own (call it a hobby), and would love to hear what you did.

This is the one I built around a month or so before Christmas time last year, give or take a week or two.

Wow, those are truly amazing rooms and systems. Mine isn't in a small specific theatre style room like that but I have a 60 inch pioneer plasma with a 6 piece Bang and Olufsen speaker system that gives great sound. Nowhere near those ones. Great stuff I really like seeing things like that, I hope one day I can have something similar.

Wow great looking rooms guys I have a 37inch LCD Onkyo TX-NR807 running 12 speakers, great surround sound with a new feature called Audyssey that doesn't leave a bad seat in the living room. It also has a new Front Height speaker setup that adds ambient, non-directional audio that adds a new vertical dimension to your movies and games which is nice, but it is nothing like the pictures above that is just beauty both places love the seats!

One aspect that I wish I have in my HT isn't how grand it is, but the masking system, it's the most essential in my opinion.

Indeed. I have the Stewartscreen and an anamorphic lens; they covers the major ratios (2.35:1, 178:1, 1.33:1). The screen can also be programmer for ratios in between.

Here's some pics of our HT. Also a Sim2 projector and 7.1 Kef system - not that high spec but good for family movies. The good thing is that whilst we live in a block of flats it's in the basement so viewing with the volume turned up is not an issue...

Certainly nothing close to yours, but nice nonetheless. I did the entire work myself.

You guys sure have some nice HT systems. I converted my 4th bedroom into a very modest home theater. I am running a 58" pansonic with a PS3 for the bluray player. I am using an Onkyo SR608 to power 7 Bowers and Wilkins speakers and 2 subwoofers. I also have a Monster power conditioner and led ambient lighting. This is not the greatest system in the world but watching movies in the room is so much nicer than going to the theater. The kids really seem to like it.

You have an awesome setup. Mine is just a 1080i projector, on a dry wall painted egg shell white.
I'm not going to bother to post mine as it looks ghetto compared to yours lol!

If anyone out there is looking for the most amazing Home Cinema experience of a lifetime, I recently saw a demo of a $1,000,000 theater install in Atlanta. This normally goes into 40-million-dollar homes and has 3500-4000 Watts of audio power, a 12-foot screen, and literally beats Imax theaters for the power and immersion of the experience.

I know it doesn't look like much with the bad iPhone pic, but trust me, it isn't. It does, however, feature a used Ikea cabinet as well as a classic non-HD TV. Note the added sound-dampening laundry and accoustically correct throw pillows stacked against the VHS player.
