Hey guys, im new here.
My dad just gave me his old rolex datejust. I was planning to bring it to brinkhaus tomorrow afternoon to get it cleaned up a bit and see if they can tell me which model the rolex is. just have a couple questions. would they tell me the model number for free? and would they do a free appraisal on the watch or would they charge me $100 or 1%. please help even if your not from vancouver. do AD usually charge for appraisals?  Brinkhaus will be able to give you all the details on your watch including polishing.. They should also appraise for you,for a fee though I'm sure! Not sure on the cost out there in Van(Usually $60 or so) Enjoy the site, Rob.

i just looked at the rolex again. the gold bands are hollow. are they suppose to be like this or is this a replica?
im pretty sure this one is pre 2002 |

Welcome and congrats on a fine timepiece. Generally speaking the appraisal fee will be waived if you choose to go ahead with the service.
