New Nakaya!
You guys are killing my budget.
Just arrived today- Nakaya 'Ascending Dragon' Long Cigar in Heki-Tamenuri with a broad cursive italic nib done by John Mottishaw at Classic Fountain Pens. The nib is going to take a little getting used to as if I rotate it at all or lean the pen to one side it doesn't write properly. But, I'm already adapting. Once I get more settled with it I'll try to remember to post a writing sample. I'm really digging this pen. The shots below show the dragon as much more pronounced than it really is in person. Enjoy!

Very nice.
I like my Nakaya (music nib). Any close ups of your nib? I looks finer than described in the pix? Nice pix.

I'll see what I can do about a picture of the nib...perhaps next to the uncustomized medium.

That's a nice pen and nib. Well done!
How do you find the Triomphe paper? It's my favourite, love the smoothness! |

I really like the Triomphe, great stuff, as you said- extremely smooth, zero feathering, and I can usually write on both sides.
I also like the Frankfurt (Zerkall)- a little less smooth but such a nice looking grain and very soft hand.

Broad cursive italic on the left, 'standard' medium (Ruthenium plated) on the right.
A little writing sample & close-ups to try and give you a feel for the difference.
