questions for the experts

I have two questions for the wis here

1) brands as p.p, AP, A.lange & sohne, etc, etc does they used higher quality of materials than Rolex or higher quality means higher finishing of the movements and brushing, etc

BTW: Iam talking about if they both have the same metal(ss, gold). Because as I understand Rolex uses best materials in movements and ss. So please correct me if Iam wrong.

2) regarding the blu parachrome , I have read somewhere that Rolex went to patek to develop it for them and they(Rolex) took the credit for it without innovating it?

Well its true that Rolex and Patek started to develop the metal in conjunction which Rolex now calls Parachrom. But Patek went there own way after there metal is called a different name and they were interested in making a silicon hairspring too.Now today most high end watches are made mainly from S.steel or precious metals and in conjunction with nickel, brass or beryllium, bronze or Glucydur balance wheels. Now except for the escapement parts like the balance wheel hairspring etc the rest of the movement parts are made from quite low cost materials. And precious metal prices would be around the same to all the manufactures.Yes to finish and decorate a movement is very labor intensive and costly but today quite a lot of the retail cost for any high end watch is just simply the name on the dial. While Rolex uses 904L S.steel while the rest of the Swiss manufactures use 316L but to the average wearer there is no real advantage today. And no matter what any manufacture calls there gold, and today its mostly 18Kt and gold is gold and for Kt weight if scrapped will get the same scrap value.
