**** FS (OT for DJ): IWC Spitfire Chrono IW371705 (stainless bracelet) ****
Hi guys. Bought this one from DavidSW just a couple of months ago. Looking to sell it to fund (or trade for) a modern DateJust for my daughter's 21st birthday. Watch was purchased in Jan 2011 from AD. There is a name on the warranty card (although I photo removed it from attached picture).
Trade value $4,500 (willing to work with anyone looking to trade their DJ) Will sell outright for $4,300 People in SoCal can see (or buy) in person - no problem at all. I'll deliver within 80 miles of Irvine (SDGO to LA to Palm Springs). I would conservatively rate this watch (I wore it once) as 98% although I'm no watchmaker, but there aren't any dents or dings or rub marks I can see. It's basically like new from the cabinet. Perfect crystal, all original packaging as you can see and all paperwork, booklet, tools, box, etc. All links in the bracelet save one, which comes with the box (or I can put it back in if you wish). Most comfortable bracelet I've ever worn - really hate to get rid of this beauty. Dial is simply amazing with it's 3d effect and contrasting surface textures. Bracelet is a work of art and does screw, but uses two tools to remove links (all can be removed, not just a few for any size wrist) by pushing a button on the inside of the bracelet while pushing the pin out from the end (just a mechanical marvel really). There are YouTube videos on this thing. Details of the IW371705: The eye-catching stainless-steel case of the Spitfire Chronograph with its rugged-looking stainless-steel push-buttons is 42 millimetres in diameter, giving it an unmistakably masculine appeal. The raised numerals and recessed totalizers give the chronograph’s silver-plated dial a decidedly three-dimensional feel. The hands, whose shape is reminiscent of propeller blades, are coated with luminescent material from shaft to tip and guarantee outstanding legibility by day or night. The 79320-calibre chronograph movement vouches for the watch’s mechanical perfection. It permits the timing of periods – or aggregate periods – of time up to 12 hours and displays the date and day of the week. Functionality, precision and reliability are integral features of a Pilot’s Watch designed for ultimate performance. Let's try one more price drop ... $4,100. Honestly, this is what I paid for it a couple of months ago and wore it one time only.
Let's get this a new home and some wrist time! |
