My new 1675

And my 1st Rolex actually!

I have had an Omega Planet Ocean in the past but always loved the classic GMT. I can even remember it from watching Magnum P.I as a child.

I feel I got a really good deal on a nice original watch and was happy that it came with a 3 year warranty from a local store here in Honolulu.

New to the forum too, looking forward to chatting with many of you.

Thanks guys. I feel very welcomed in the Rolex community. Just took these pics with my iPhone. Sorry for the quality. I have a photographer friend and maybe I should arrange a "photo shoot!"

Great matching dial and hands, creamy patina

Congrats! Beautiful watch. What year is it? If you don't know just tell us the first three digits on the serial number and we'll help you date it.

Its a 1979. I was actually looking for my birth year (1981) as it was a present to myself for my 30th birthday but when this came along I had to have it. Original bezel is looking great and had just the right amount of fade for my taste.

I was also happy to see the hands and the dial have aged very well and match nicely.

Next watch will be for my 35th and looking forward to taking the next 5 years to "shop."

Lovely example of an iconic watch!
Now that you've taken the plunge, you will find it hard to resist the urge to add some variety as time goes on.
