How many of you have spare inserts?

Hi, just wondering how many of you here keep spare original inserts and use them to change the look of a watch, for example having both a black and a faded insert to swap whenever the occasion demands?

Not me.

Not sure which occasion would demand a change of bezel insert from black to faded?

Sure thing....I have a couple of spares

Blue ones in different grades, NOS black replacements and a grey faded one. I change the insert quite often...depending on what mode i´m in and if I use a NATO or SS bracelet. It´s so easy to change on a plastic sub. The faded blue on my Red Sub is quite nice

The only spare I have so far is a black one which I have yet to use for my 16610LV. At some point I will probably get some for my 16710 which is sporting a Pepsi insert now. I should get a Coke and a Black one, but I have no need to rush as I really like the Pepsi.

I have two spares for my 16610LV, one green and the other black, both in the original sealed cases. I will probably never use them and pass them on with the watch should I ever decide to part with it.

well I guess is more a mood thing, a black ones for when you need the "as new" fresh and sharp look like at work functions, with clients, etc, a faded one for those more artistic occasions like at the theatre, concerts and just lazying around?:)

Whew, love your collection and beautiful watches, surely makes them emperors with clothes on:). Is the blue insert off the Tudor or a naturally faded one originally form a 1680?

I really like the green, so I haven't had any need to change.

I wear a modern insert. I had a faded insert that was fat font. I traded it for the same insert to a VRF member for one without fade. It snapped in two at the pearl when I installed it. I am still sick over it. Now I have NO FF insert that I can use and would have to paya fortune to buy another.

That's a sad story and scary. Didn't think it was that difficult and risky to take off an insert without cracking it and have never tried it yet. I wonder if any tool is available to easily change it.
