I went to that website, and every one of his pictures are watermarked, and in a completely different format (white background, etc.). Are you sure you saw the watch there?? Can you post a link to where you saw it first? |

Hi, it wasnt the website that raised the issues. As there was only one picture of the watch (a watch) on his website I e mailed him and asked him for more pics as I want to see the actual watch and not just one pic you can get from anywhere.
He then e mailed me back those pics I posted of a perfect 16610LV, so just to be sure its genuine (as I am new to this) I posted them on here, it was then jizeal spotted they were pictures of his actual watch he was trying to sell thru the forums, basically this guy had trawled the forums looking for pics of a 16610LV, he even airbrushed out the small blemishes from jizeals pics. The one pic on his website wasnt the issue, it was the fact that he stole jizeal's pics to use as apparent pics of a watch he was selling. As for the name Sam Edwards, thats a new one to me, I was contacted by Dennis Gold of goldwatchco.com |

As far as that name, it was just what is listed in his profile here (link above). Anyone can put any name they want in there. However, I am pretty sure that's the guy (whatever his name is), going by his chosen Member ID and the fact that the website you posted is listied under "contact info" in his profile. |

Dear Forum members,
My name is Sam Edwards and I am the sales manager at GoldWatchCo.com. There seems to be a very large misunderstanding across this forum so I am here to clarify a few things. Firstly, I would like to apologize for Dennis, one of the sales reps, sending the wrong pictures to one of my potential clients 'ericloso'. When you asked to send pictures of the actual watch, Dennis told one of my employees to send him photos of the 16610LV M serial that we had in stock, and he obviously got lazy and sent pictures from the forums instead. I obviously would never allow this to happen and he will be dealt with in the appropriate manner. This is something that we never do, and we never have done in the past, and was a simple mistake. There is no excuse for this and I am deeply sorry about confusing you, and anyone else on this forum. Secondly, I would like to point out that we are legitimate watch dealers in downtown miami florida and we ONLY sell authentic Rolex Watches. Every watch we sell is 100% authentic (unless the watch has custom added diamonds which are fully disclosed on the website, in this case, the diamonds are not Rolex diamonds) but every watch we sell is Factory original Rolex. More often then not, a customer is not happy with the photos on the website so we send actual pictures of the watch, and it is not easy to get the real photo, of 900 different watches, unless you have a great camera and lens, and know how to use it really well. I would also like to point out that 'ericloso' has not emailed or called us since this thread began and when he does, we will get him the real photos to the watch immediately. Another important point i need to point out is We also do not require a wire transfer to complete this purchase. we accept every major credit card and we do not have any negative reviews across the web. I have been in the Rolex watch wholesale business for over 13 years and I have purchased many Rolex watches from many reputable dealers and jewelers downtown miami florida. If anyone has any doubt when placing an order with our company, I tell hem to use their credit card to place the order. In general, When ordering a high ticket item on the web, the common denominator between every scam is that they will not accept your credit card, they will only take cash or wire. This does not only apply to Our company, but also anything you purchase online. Go with this simple rule, and you will not be scammed and if fraud is attempted, you will always have recourse. Anyone who has any questions about this post, or about our company, you may contact on my direct line at 877-503-4055 ext. 800 from monday through friday, and I will be more then happy to give you model numbers, more pictures, serial numbers, or anything that will put you at ease to do business with us. If you give us a call and would like to place an order, use your credit card, and you will see that we are 100% legitimate dealers. You may also come into out office, if you are in the local Miami area. If you are familiar with the seybold building, we are right next door in the international jewelry center. Thank you you for all your understanding on this matter and we hope to do business with each and every one of you, and create many happy customers. |

Ok
Thank you for your reply Sam, much appreciated. I WILL CONFIRM HOWEVER THAT I DID E MAIL DENNIS BACK QUESTIONING HIS PICTURE SOURCE. I have the mail in my sent items and will be happy to forward it to you should you require this as proof I did. As Dennis was the only contact I had that is who I e mailed - Please PM me so we can clarify this matter, if what you are saying is fact then it seems unfair your personal and comapnies reputation should suffer.... |

To amend! It appears the e mail to Dennis questioning his pics got saved to drafts and never got sent, DOH!
However, the problem with the pics still remains and thanks to Sam for getting in touch regarding this and dealing with it..... |

I think this is an excuse to blame a imaginary "employee".... They went out of their way to touch my photos up... Eric can you copy paste the email to this thread from Dennis. Maybe with all this information people can be warned about this situation and make their own conclusions.

When compared it looks like a lot of work went in to photoshopping Neil's pix.
Is there a reason this was done? Just my 2c.

Sure, heres the mails regarding the pics situation, Dennis in Red me in Green. IF you go to to contact info on the goldwatchco.com it mentions something about International Jewelry Center in Miami which has a really suspicious website to its name - anyone heard of this place?
Starts from bottom to top: Eric, Here are photos of the actual watch. Keep me posted on the status of the wire and I will keep you posted on delivery. I did some investigating on my own and it seems this dealer is a half-assed dealer... they collect the money upfront and then source the watch... i heard this from people that have done business with this place directly.
by the way look at the pic of his store front in google maps, its totally different from the one on his website... guess this guys is good at something and that is Photoshop. P.S. dont ever hijack my pics again By the way they also went out of their way to make their website registration private, why would you do that if you are a legitimate business???? Unfortunately, a bunch of these online dealers operate by taking your money and then sourcing the watch. DeMessy did this to me.
