original matte dial has been installed. the watch will come with a rolex box and accesories but ive been told they were peieced together from other submariner, the accesories not the watch. Again price is 5000 fro a 1981 16800 with 18 month warranty, all original, like new condition

Biddings starting with 1 dollar or a low amount usually tend to attract bidders, so people have more confidence in bidding on that item, only thing of course is that you can get stuck with a lower than expected price.

Me three.

Lower listing costs and better ending prices due to the extra potential buyers drawn to the initial potential bargain.

Don't get a mate to bid a pseudo "reserve" price though and protect your item against a low sale price. That just wouldn't be cricket.

You would be better off selling the watch alone since none of the other items included (box, tags etc.) are original to the watch.

Maybe, but the real bids come in the last minute of bidding. The first bidders at $1 are not serious anyway.......

Good luck with the sale.

"Original" Rolex stuff, perhaps, Original to the 16800 in your ad, not a chance.

The box, tags, booklets etc. were thrown together to make the watch appear to be complete. Very misleading. Sell the watch alone and the rest separate and you and potential buyers would be better off.

The clearly stated rules of the for sales forum require you to provide a photograph of the watch.
Please provide a photograph of the watch if you want to sell it.
