GMT II bezel insert vs SUB Bezel insert
I have a question. I have a Submariner with date (16610) I bought new in 1999. I want to change the bezel insert only. I like the GMT II Pepsi insert and was wondering if it will fit my Sub. Thanks

The bezel insert size for the 16610 is 30.7mm Inside Diameter and 37.65mm Outside Diameter.
The bezel insert size for the 16700/16760/16710 is 30.7mm ID and 37.65mm OD. Does that answer your question? The part number for the Red/Blue insert with white numbers is 315-16750-6 |

It will fit, and has been done.
There's a few pics around here somewhere..... Looks a little odd if you ask me, but hey, it's your watch to do as you please!

Sorry but that looks odd to me, a 24 hour bezel on a watch with no 24 hour hand doesn't work.

If you`re happy then good for you.
I`ve thought of the possibility of this combination and now that I see it for real I`m not sure what to make of it but thanks for sharing the pics. |

FYI. That insert is the commonly available $12.99 aftermarket insert. I hope you did not pay too much for it.
Since it appears you are cool with aftermarket inserts, there are "Pepsi (Red/Blue)" inserts out there that feature "Submariner" timer markers instead of the 24 hour markers. There are both Coke and Pepsi aftermarket "Submariner" inserts over on [popular auction site]. Just search on "Submariner Insert" for all the colors of the rainbow. |
