Daytona 16520?

Hello there - newbie here.
Hope someone will be able to help me out on this watch. As you will see (if you squint!) it has a floating dial with inverted 6. The bezel though seems to be a 'Bezel III'? (according to a certain excellent website). I can't find such a combination but being new to the Daytona world what do I know? Would much appreciate any views on it. (unfortunately this is the only photo I've been able to get) many thanks

Thankyou - BTW - forgot to mention its listed as an 'L' serial (89/90) which also doesn't seem to match up to the 16520 lifecycle model. I'm sorely tempted but I'm struggling a bit with the 'smell' test!!

How do we define 'vintage'?

1 pic is hard to give a lot of advice on, but it looks like a nice Zenith Daytona from what you have there.

The bezel is not right for that dial. Please post more and better pictures.

Thanks. I'm struggling to get any more photos unfortunately. The watch isn't with me so I'm thinking I should be passing. Much appreciated.

Is the seller claiming he's the original owner and it's never been serviced or had parts replaced? Bezels can be changed, ya know.......

I used to own one. I sold it. But look at my third picture for the correct bezel:

http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=216152

The bezel on yours is definitely a replacement. And the L serial will only have four lines. Can't see the bracelet so I can't comment on that.

My advice would be to pass. Nothing is right.

I see that this is in the early F Series Production because of the skinny hands. My brother had one like this in 2003. The newer versions came out with fatter hands and the hands hold a bit more Super Luminova, so they are more visible at night as well. Hope that helps.

Just to close this thread - after repeated attempts to get more photos no contact made. Odd given its sitting on a website where many watches are presumably sold. I've got my eye on a Daytona patrizzi. Will post some pics for guidance. thanks again
