Montblanc 149 or something else?

Hi Folks,

I have a MB Meisterstuck Solitire Le Grande and I just got my wife the MB Princess Grace of Monaco Special Edition; both fountain pens. They are both really nice.

I am considering getting a 149 or do you folks have any other recommendations for a fountain around the same price maybe +$200 on the 149 price as a max increase?

I cannot go to a pen store; I am not in prison!! I am just very tied up at work for teh enxt few month, but I can have it delivered from any US retailer who delivers to APO/FPO.

Like you it would go with my Rolex, although I have a DSSD or even my black Navitimer (both Grande like the 149!). I think it will probably be a 149 unless someone points me to something I have not seen before.

Ordered a 149, but had to watch the wife open it on SKYPE as I am thousands of miles away and won't get to handle it until the end of August!!

Cheers, the wife now has one and I have 2, I think one more next year so that when I pop my cogs my 3 Sons each get one. I am using the same strategy with my watches. At first I ended up with 4 on the basis that I would give one to each son when they were 18, however, I now have 2 (DSSD and Navitimer) and I must buy another so that when I pop my cogs my Sons each get one! Like the logic? Just need to Decide Daytona SS white, Sub black/gold or wait another 18 months and get a Y-M II YG.

You do definitely...have made great choices and decisions. I would be honored to become adopted by you and your lady.....as a MB #149 and DSSD would fit well with my other MB fountain pens and Rolex watches.....please send me a PM when the adoption goes through and since I am well over the age of 18.....you could if you want send me them right away. Thanx for your time and considerations.....Leo

I have a black and a burgundy 146. I enjoy them both, but I am now looking for a 149. Good choice
