http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=235225

See thread above ^^^ for previous 411

The 1 million dollar buy in starts tomorrow, July 1st. It's called "The Big One for One Drop." 11.1% goes to charity that makes sure people have safe clean drinking water, approx. 48 people have signed up so far. The winner should receive more then 18 million USD. Caesars will no doubt grab part of the entry fee, but not sure. Its a no limit hold 'em 3 day event.
the winner receives a special Platinum bracelet, plus 18 million.

Michael Mizrachi won the World Series Poker Championship event (50K buy in) ..his 2nd time, this time he won 1.45 million. His 3rd WSOP individual event championship bracelet and now has won over 7 million in his career at the WSOP, 9 final tables at WSOP. His nickname is "The Grinder" because of his aggressive play. he made the final table last year at the 10k buy in main event. He has 3 brother, all 4 of them had cashed in at the 2010 Main Event.

After Micheal won the 1.45 million, he ran to the cage a slammed down a million for the One Drop tourney.

ESPN has finally arrived, they are here no for sure for the One Drop Tourney and the main Event, which starts July 7th.

Mizrachi has confirmed in interviews that he sold percentages of his action for One Drop, and that he himself did not commit anywhere close to the $1M buy-in from his own bankroll. I'm sure Patrik Antonius, who staked Grinder the $50K buy-in that resulted in his first $50K Players Championship title, has a significant piece of the Grinder's action.

Update - final table is on live right now. ESPN2 is the network - you can get right to the event at www.wsoptv.com pick the Big One for One Drop. After the dinner break later tonight the show will move to ESPN I think.

Lots of big action already - 7 handed right now. $16+Million first prize and it will be won in the next few hours - or more ;-). Although it is live, they are showing hole cards after the action (on a 15 minute delay).

Since none of us had the $1Million buy-in, maybe play some watch spotting?

Guy Liberte seems to be wearing a nice PP. it's in HD so you can start guessing the wrist wear on the other players now!

Congrats to Antonio Esfandiari for winning the One Drop tourney and the $18.3M prize! I've spoken with him before both in Vegas and San Francisco, and he's a nice guy. I'm sure details will be forthcoming about how much of the action he sold (I'm guessing easily north of 50%), which means everyone who bought a percentage is going to make back at least 15x on their investment (most pros were offering upwards of 1.2 to 1 action, meaning a $12K investment got 1% of the pie).

Pretty sure we all now how that works, just another BS statement by Ceasars Entertainment, who talks the talk but won't walk the walk. Oh, one good thing is they didn't rake any of the One Drop Tourney.

I see a press realese soon of how terrible the whole WSOP did this year, but the spin will be amazing.

I'll be shocked if they reach 6000 or more for the main event, the other 60 tourneys were pretty much off by 20%, except the seniors event was packed

Sam Tricket, 2nd place finisher in the 1 million dollar buy in get's jumped at a local club hours after the tourney ended. The British player who won 10.1 million, says he was beaten up by 6 guys as he was leaving a unnamed club with someone named Natasha. He wouldn't or didn't file a report.

Trickett is a former plumber from Nottingham and also a professional soccer player until a knee injury canceled his soccer career.

Sounds a little strange.

EDIT: Monday we will have the final buy in numbers for the Main Event. Over/under= 6150

6,598 Over 6,150 but still 200+ shy of last year's entry numbers...

Esfandiari made it onto CNBC for 90 seconds this afternoon...but never said how much he'd sold of himself in the Big One

Einhorn was on for over an hour this AM though and they drilled him more about Apple than WSOP...so the real money is in managing the money

It's all about managing your chips at this point , correct 77T

2283 are left out of 6598 that started, it's scheduled to wrap up next Monday with the final 9

Caesars rake is 6% of the buy in, so 6% of 10k is 600 USD X 6598=just over 3.9 million the house gross on this particular tournament.

My friend is playing, survived day 1 (Sunday). I spoke to him on Tuesday afternoon, and he expected to survive his day 2 as well, and play again on Thursday.

Just spoke to him, got beat late Tuesday night by Daniel Negranu. Legit hands on both sides, he's OK losing to a pro, better than an amateur who was fishing and got lucky.
