Thank you Andreas.

Latest update as of 7am PST Sept 27 2012: KingPower still refuses to provide refund. He is aware of me posting about him, and says all the other posts on WatchNet warning about him are lies. He is threatening to write posts saying I'm the scammer and he is the victim here.

Keep at it, we will keep at it.

Let him post his story. I'm sure an innocent man would have posted already?

I know right? Hopefully the local police I contacted will also start pressuring him.

Thanks everyone!

The only way to deal the scum a blow is to post as much information about them as possible on the internet so that every watch buyer knows who they are, information is power.

Who ever of heard of a thief substituting a watch he has stolen for another, you must be joking, that`s got to be the most phoney explanation I have ever heard.

If the seller has filed a claim with the PO ask for the case # and I'll verify with them.

According to the PO that claim # doesn't exist and quite frankly I don't think he ever made a claim.

With your permission I will post this thread on the Swedish watch sites to see if you can get some help?

With a little bit of luck someone might live in the neighborhood and heard of him.

Thank you very much!

I am sorry for this issue. It's definitely every watch buyers worst nightmare for something like this to happen. I would continually post that he ripped you off. Post it anywhere watch enthusiasts congregate. The seller is a dishonest DB. Did the package look tampered with?

I'd post his messages to you so the court of public opinion can pass judgement.

It looks like this guy is banned on watchnet.

WatchNet had him listed on the alert thread soon after my transaction, not because of me, and just banned him yesterday.

Same guy trying to scam at VRM/VRF. Uses login Vintage_Fan and KingRolex and email i.slid@live.com and sand.blast@live.com.

Probably just get new aliases and emails since it's apparantly works well. :(

Stay safe out there and always, always do your due dilligence before sending money.

Hope it works out for you. I would recommend you to report it to Swedish police and also be real annoying towards SEB. Create as much problems as you can for him and maybe you get your money back.

Best of luck

Thanks Per, I just checked VRF and saw the posts. He even uses the name Anders here: http://www.network54.com/Forum/20767...ere-++%28nt%29.

Thanks for pointing out more info on this person!

I would like to clarify a few facts that were asked.

Yes the box looks like it is possible it could have been tampered with. The bottom has a different color tape. The box is reused as on the bottom there is remnants of a DHL shipping label. It is no longer legible. My guess is the old transparent tape was from the original shipping, and the brown tape is from the seller.

Originally I thought the seller was telling the truth and the box was tampered with in transit. However, upon inspecting the small piece of DHL label, there could not have been tampering since the the clear transparent tape underneath the brown tape is only 1 layer, so it must have been the original tape from the DHL shipment.

Add in the allegations of fraud by this seller on both WatchNet and the Vintage Rolex Forum, I have concluded this seller is indeed a fraud.

Hi Moose
I hope we end his taking advantage of our online community. What ever the ending becomes is his own doing.

Update:
Still working on this. Some members of Swedish site Time To Talk have offered to call and to try to know on his door. I've encouraged them to do so gently just to see his reaction at having people local contact him. Someone there has also checked on the claim number the seller supposedly received after reporting the theft to the Swedish post office - this number does not exist. Here is his latest email to me threatening to report me to the police as scamming him by receiving the real watch and claiming to receive a fake:

Dennis, I was only on WatchNet and banned because I was new member and I offered lower prices and also because there are so many envious people.

I never say that I won't give you refund so don't missunderstand the situation. I've been telling you that I just want the that claim with the post office concludes to see at least what have really happened with your watch.

Also, you claim that someone told you that the claim number is not correct (which is a lie because I gave you the correct number) I have the papers that I shipped the package correctly to you. I think you should talk with the postal service by yourself and not let anybody else do the job for you!!!

Hey Dennis! how many times do I need to say, WHEN I receive the refund from the postal service I will give you the money OK?

And STOP telling lies about me, stop accusing me for something I didn't do and stop extort ionating me because I will report you to the police and I will sue you. It doesn't matter what anybody says to you, this is a transaction between you and me only and I have all the proof to prove my innoncence and I have all the threatful email you have been sending, every single one, so the only one who at the end get worst will be you. Stop accusing and shut up and colaborate instead. I'm not kidding, I'm going to report you to the authorities, I swear!

You can also call me anytime, if you have the balls, unless of course it is midnight here.

And by the way, it's not much money we are talking about and if I were a scammer I wouldn't be talking here with you! but you are the scammer who have the watch and a fake story and wants to extortionate me and I can and I will report you to the police and sue for extortion and fraud and then you can kiss good bye any help I give you.

I'm not kidding, I'm not a scammer, I'm not running away and I'm not hiding from you, you will have your refund.

He is trying to stall you. He's not comfortable with all the publicity he is receiving.

Don't worry he won't sue you. Where is he supposed to sue you? In Sweden?

Sounds like someone hit a nerve, this means that the pressure is being applied correctly and discomfort has been created for the scam artist.

The threat of legal action is laughable!

It's probably a good idea to do a joint venture.

For some reason none of his previous victims are speaking up and I don't know who they are?
