So I'm not an Omega expert or anything, but from looking at the real ones, this watch looks off....

It's an Omega Speedmaster Mark II. You are probably thinking of the Omega Speedmaster Professional. And yes the case back is extremely overpolished/worn almost obliterating the Hippocampus.
