The Best Sea Dweller Ever...
Mine
I never formally introduced him to you guys but here he/it is. A little background, first time I saw a SD was around 1995, it was $4500 then maybe a little less. Ever since, I wanted it. Finally seventeen years later I've been in position to buy one and thanks to my beautiful wife Zee who supported me it was possible. Say hi to her she'll be reading and will get a kick out of it. In my current situation it has been very difficult to actually buy one as I work abroad and then stay in Argentina until I return to work. So being in the US at the right time has been difficult particularly since it has been discontinued. On my last vacation I had a couple of weeks to spend in the US but a very narrow window of time to actually spend on the watch transaction. I want to thank Oscar(bodybump) immensely for such a smooth transaction. Without him I don't think I would have the watch on right now. He was able to meet my wife and I at the Miami airport during my layover in route home from Dubai. He was a true gentleman and his flexibility and service will always be remembered as part of the history of this watch. It is a keeper. My gratitude would fill a thread in itself. I love this watch. At first it felt a little small compared to my PO 42mm but I've grown to like the sort of condensed package of hardcoreness. I cannot stop looking at the dial and even the oyster bracelet is a thing of beauty. I will post a review with some basic opinions and more pics later. For now here are some pics I've taken since ownership. I find this watch very difficult to photograph in the way my eyes see it. The non ar crystal is such a challenge. I also don't have any high tech camera gadgetry. The prerequisite hairy wrist shot was actually underwater and the flash blacked everything out. In any case the pics aren't the best but I love every part of this watch, hence the clasp crown pic. Thank you all for the knowledge and entertainment, and thank you TRF. Rashid |

While 17 years is a long time, I'm sure it was worth the wait to finally get that timeless classic on your wrist. I think your photos are great.

Thank you so much.
The lume on your Fifty Fathoms is ludicrous. Quote:
Thank you. I love the oyster bracelet too and took a few close ups also. |

The SD 16600 is the best proportionate and clean diver made by Rolex IMO.....
A classic to say the least!
