Icon14 Date off centre in De Ville Prestiges?

I owned a 34mm De Ville Prestige Chronometer a while back which I sold on. I am now looking at a gold version.

The problem I have noticed on my old one and the gold one is that the date doesn't sit in the centre of the date box.

Is it supposed to be like this? Is it easy to correct?
