Got sick in Monaco last November. On and off several different antibiotics for three months. Lost over 20 pounds. Had problems with everything from kidney function to prostate problems.

Be very careful what you eat.

Got food poisoning on a first date with a girl years ago. We were at her apartment and I couldn't leave her bathroom. It was like the Ben Stiller scene from the movie Along Came Polly.

Ditto, came back from Mexican honeymoon and brought back food poisoning. That was 21 years ago and still makes me shudder.

Also, since then have had kidney stones and food poisoning again and would rather have the kidney stones as they are much more painful but over quick and then your fine.

Been there. I remember trying to crawl across the floor and giving up. I thought I might die too. It's awful for sure. Never did go back to that restaraunt.

We are currently ringing in the new year at our home Quarentined because of norovirus. I have never been so sick in my life lost 12 pounds the first 48 hours would get sick even if I took a sip of water. Luckily it has subsided and we (yes my wife got it too) are able to hold down food. 2 more days until we are free as our dr says it spreads like wildfire and is extremely contagious

Me too in India, if it had carried on for a few more hours I would LITERALLY have killed myself, worst thing I ever experienced!

If youre not going to eat raw sushi anymore then whats left - just the egg?

X2. It just doesn't seem like a good idea to me to eat raw fish. But I guess I'm a hypocrite because I LOVE raw oysters. Go figure!

Been there. Twice. My advice? Just give in and go to the hospital. They have good drugs and IV's. Makes the experience a bit more tolerable.
