My MB136 long ink window. One of my best writers, it's got a steel /gold plated EF nib.

My favorite right now is my Carbon and Steel Solitaire...but I'm REALLY considering the Einstein. I just have to get to the Boutique to see it in person

Thx Leo, that pen has long ink window so it's before end of WW2. It has a steel nib so should be after 1939/40 - I rate it around first half of 1940's.

Kai, thanx for the information and education on that MontBlanc. With it being an early FP if you hold the pen so the nib is turned 180 degrees...will it write even finer???
Take it easy.....Leo

Kai, very nice as I too like fountain pens with flexible nibs. My favorite nibs are the smallest sizes...Accountant and Needle but it seems to me that these sizes are not offered on new pens nowadays. If you know of any manufacturers currently producing FP's with these nib sizes...please let me know!!! Thanx!!!
Take it easy.....Leo

Sailor produces Naginata Saibi Togi nibs and Nakaya produces XXF nibs - both at 0.1mm tip width, see http://www.nibs.com/TippingSizespage.htm
BTW, order them from John Mottishaw (aka nibs.com) - one of the best nib meisters. |

A long time ago, before I start to collect watches, I used to collect pens. It's a much more affordable hobby, relatively speaking....
