Your opinion on this 1600 DJ?
This 1600 DJ came up on ebay, and I'm considering it. A previous 1600 this seller sold went for just under $3k. It looks like pie-pan dial and Dauphine hands are unrestored, but I can't tell much else. I'm emailing the seller a list of questions next.
What do you think of it? Any abnormalities? Many thanks for your input! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=221189750311 |

1600 should have a smooth bezel.

Ask for a picture of the reference model and serial number etched on its case, just to confirm it is a 1600 and if the s/n coincide with the stated year model.

Buy the Seller on this one.
I think its going to be real but...the condition could cost you a grand at a RSC. |

I would run from this deal if he has any type of negative feed back involving "fake" anything. Mickey is totally right when he says "buy the seller"

96.9% is very low for a seller. I'd stay away. They also don't show the movement. I've been bitten by that one before. See Watch Out for my tale of woe.

bezels is incorrect for that model number, otherwise looks ok, but as others said there are seller concerns

Thanks for your feedback all.
I'm going to pass for three reasons: your comments, the feedback score which is a bit less than trust-inspiring (and a lot of the positives are from sellers, means when he bought), and though seller responded and answered very politely to all of my questions, there is no return period, not even one day. All in all too risky for my taste. Again, thank you for taking the time to look at the post and voicing your opinions. Very much appreciated! |
