two very different watches.

personally, i prefer the 425 to the 449 (gold hands over blue hands for the SLC + no "Vintage" engraving), and i would want a 15400 over an SLC dial PAM, but, that's just me.

One watch is big and thick and the other more subtle and slender. I just traded my PAM 372 towards a diver and feel that I made the right choice.

Perhaps it is just my imagination but I feel AP is a higher quality product than Panerai. Having said that I do enjoy still having and wearing a PAM 359.

In a nutshell I would do the trade.

Hard choice for sure, I guess it depends on what other watches you have? you need one pam in your collection for sure.

I'm a fan of both brands but definately prefer AP.
The 449 doesn't do much for me, and as Cru said, I even prefer the 425 over it.
Doesn't matter though because I would want the 15400 over a PAM regardless of what model you're putting up against it.
Good luck. Personal choice..
The 15400 is a much slimmer watch than any PAM so try it on for fit.

I would not take a 15400 over a 317K for sure. But that's just me.

Yes indeed

Pam 449 is not my cup of tea anyway, prefer 448 Cali dial -- but even though , I'd trade any of them for AP 15400.

In fact, you're trading a Pam449 @ $ 9.1K list price for an AP that even pre owned, it's more expensive.

Panerai is all about too inflated prices, and very basic features in return -- when they deliver many features, then there's no "DNA" and therefore the fans would not cherish it.

That's a decision then about preferences and aesthetics, only.

best

thank you guys for all your comments. i also have other Luminors, but this is the only radiomir that i've. the reason why i'm asking this is because i want to get an AP that is more practical since i've diver and panda.

I can only agree.

While the Panerai's are cool, they are not my kind of tea.

i had a chance to try on a brand new 15300, but somehow it seems a bit small on my wrist.
