Whats the difference between a 1675 and a 16750?
Just curious... i know that some of the early 16750s had matte dials too... so what else is different??

Gmt
first (1980) it was the movement from 1565/1575 to 3075 (with quick-set).
Than in 1983 also the dial changed from matte to glossy. br |

also worth noting the hands on the 16750 is in the date range where they might suffer from really bad corrosion...

16750s have characteristic 'bart simpson' tall coronets and the hand stack is ordered differently - hour hand first (lowest) followed by the red 24hr hand next.
3075 is also a different movement at a faster beat with quick set date. |

I don't think these, but the coronets of the later gilt Submariner dials, are referred to as "Bart Simpson". These are just "tall coronets".
(not my image) vs. (this is mine)

I've never heard the 16750 dial coronets referred to as "Bart Simpson" dials. Actually, they look nothing like the dials given the name "Bart Simpson." I say this as it could be confusing to others who aren't familiar with all the "secondary" names given to various watches or watch parts.
