While Rolex decide...

what to do with the Daytona, I have my sights set on this one...

I read 7500 Swiss Francs somewhere so around $8,000-something.

I'm very interested in this piece, finally a Cal 9300 movement in a reasonable sized case (this one is 41.5mm). My only concern would be the height of this piece. Time will tell. Regardless, a very nice and classy release!

Agreed. The height may be an issue. However, I tried on the regular production Speedy 9300 and it was not as obscene as the PO Chrono. If this one has a similar profile, it will be a winner.

Can't wait to see it. Wish it didn't have PCLs.

Hehe. I really like my 116520 white dial. However, the legibility on this redesigned 57 reissue seems much better. The 9300 is a fantastic movement and the price point is going to be very good. I think it's a winner.

I agree that the PCLs are not ideal but the overall package makes up for it.

This puppy on a nice leather strap is going to be all that and a bag of chips.

very sharp! and the bracelet looks good, too. it'll be interesting to see the thickness, though.

I like the larger sub dials compared to the regular Speedy 9300. Seems more proportional to the dial.

These two Omega Chronos are instant classics, total Home Runs design wise but they will sink the Bismarck if its too thick. They have simply gone cookoo on their watch thicknesses that are a pain to wear and quite silly. Please be the right thickness! I will have to get one

Rolex is out to lunch on the Daytona. I have my 'rollies' 41 and 43mm respectively(DSSD DJ2) their 40mm unisex watches dont cut it anymore for me. Omegas wiping the floor with Rolex the past 2 years.

Very nice, the bezel looks brushed, good call. Looks even better on a leather strap IMO
