That 'Leicester' seller has listed numerous dubious and fake DRSD etc on eBay over last year....

There will be more listed...and this one probably numerous times.

AVOID!!

I've come across a post in a different forum that refers the DRSD of the original post to a well known modder / fake builder in the UK. Looks like these fake dials have a kind of "signature" of the guy making them and others can tell.

I'm looking to buy a DRSD and, the more I look, the more I come to the conclusion that's a bad idea, because of oh so many guys faking cases, case backs, dials, and the whole lot.

If anybody needs the link to where I found the information that this one is a confirmed fake, just let me know. Best.

It is not a bad idea to buy a DRSD. It is a bad idea to buy one like any other vintage from an unknown source or seller. If you deal with top notch people like I do you get top notch watches.

Do your homework buyers and it will save you much grief! Also if you shop price and that is main focus--forget it as you will never own superlative examples.
