Another Japan trip

We went to Japan again last month, hoping to see the cherry blossoms. Unfortunately this year the bloom came 2 weeks early and by the time we were there, it's nearly all over :-(
Nevertheless, I got several keepers -

Osaka Castle

Another take at the Bamboo Grove, Arashiyama

New bride at Philosopher's Path

Night session at Kiyomizu-Dera

Miyajima Torii gate

Hiroshima Castle sunset

A new couple at Nagoya Castle

Nagoya Castle

Sushi set at Tokyo Sushi Say main store

The shadows at Shibuya Crossing Tokyo

Incredible photos! The lighting of your night session at Kiyomizu-Dera is beautiful. I went during the day & it looks completely different, thanks for sharing. Did you get the chance to visit Nara?

Thanks! Kiyomizu-Dera night sessions are only seasonal for 2 weeks during Cherry Blossom period, and I think other periods during Summer and Autumn (check their website). Thoroughly recommended but beware it's chock full of people.

Yes we did a half day trip to Nara (ok, 3/4 of the day). Nothing much to do there except for the Todai-ji, and it's full of people all the time...

The Buddha feels small, but he's 3-4 storeys tall.
