Sn# question?

Sorry, I'm sure this has been covered at nauseum but I'm having a hard time with a sn#. It's a 1,4xx,xxx 1675, with a service dial. Most charts put it around 1960? Is this correct? I've seen many watches for sale from respected members and respected dealers showing 1960 watches closer to the 600,000 range.
Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Nathaniel

"Most Charts" on the Internet are simply cut and paste from whatever source they first see...

Our chart is based on the few well researched and notated work of Rolex reference books and known case-back stampings...

600,000 serials are around 1960ish

1,4m serials are around 1966ish, as mentioned above..

Serial number dating is always an educated guess, not actual production data, which has not been released by Rolex.
