I called an AD the other day to inquire about one, and the salesman told me that he "dubbed it the Bruiser" himself because it looks like a bruise. I asked him if he came up with it and he said "absolutely. I hope it catches on." I just about hung up. Claiming you came up with the nickname? Violation.

As for respect for the brand I had more watches then you can count and therefore I can appreciate the brand and the history behind them all and I have had both Pateks and Rolex watches in my collection. Calling the correct watch Paul Newman, I have no issues with that, however, ignorant people calling todays YG daytona as Paul Newman, that is misleading to any potential buyer, that I have an issue with.. If the names (nicknames) are used correctly for the correct vintage models I repeat I have no issue with that. |

New and ecstatic BLNR owner here (to replace an LN). This thread is great. I commit to upload pics when I have some worthy of what's already been posted here!

Whatever it's called it's still a beauty; No disrespect meant to anyone but I like the nicknames
...and here in Manila our lovely ADs know them all - batman, hulk, bluesy |

Quick question for you gmt ers. Is the gmt a little thicker than the sub?? Never thought to look at it in person.
