It's a bummer when you pick up a new piece and there are problems that need attending too, when all you want to do is enjoy the watch. Glad your wait wasn't too long to get her back, she looks great.

Thank you and you are right, it sure is a bummer.

To be fair, when you buy vintage watches you have to keep an open mind and think that such things can happen, that's when buying the seller comes in handy. I know mine was very patient and willing to help but in the end I could work everything out with my watchmaker so I didn't have to send the watch back, I'm really glad about that as I would have found this very unfortunate.

Carl, I really need you to start working on your OWN watches first, before I send you any of mine

Love the pic of all 3 together...3 classic beauties

I understand your point perfectly my friend, I did work on some of my watches (including my vintage JLC and my moonphase watch) and wasn't afraid even though I had to go slowly given their age. The problem with this one is that I paid much more for it and it had a problem in its very thin movement, since everything is more fragile in that one I preferred to leave it to a professional instead of risking breaking anything in it.

I definitely need more experience but I'm usually not afraid to work on my own timepieces, however, I prefer this thread to be called "it's back!" than "I made a booboo"...
