However I have to say that your posting struck a cord. Your watch is simply superb and 10 out of 10 for choosing a watch that fulfils its purpose and yet appears simply elegant and understated.

I hit the old age of 65 in January and decided to treat myself to an every day watch and I chose an Explorer1 because of its understated appearance and something that goes with formal and casual wear.

You have now got me thinking, should I have chosen your model.

You carry on wearing it and above all, enjoy it.

No, Mick, you should not second guess your choice. The Explorer I is a terrific watch, for all the reasons you mention - simplicity, versatility, durability. I love mine, it gets most of my wrist time. You could, however, consider a second watch! Cheers,
