Dear Greg Dolly & Guys. Urgent help. Did I rounded off my casing with cape cod?

Dear Greg & Guys,

I've brought the watch down to RSC today for them to have a look. Unfortunately, the polishing technicians wasn't in today because I arrived too late. The customer service guy told me that my casing looks rounded from the polishing. I intend to let RSC guys do a full servicing and retouch up the casing. I've taken a number of macro pics below. Do you think the casing on my 16710 has become rounded and can it be save by RSC? Using cape cod is hazardous. I've no dings on the case before doing the touch up using the cape cod. I do not know that abit of autosol and cape cod can be so aggressive. I am dead this time.

Dear Moderators: I have to make a decision by tomorrow at RSC so apologized for creating another thread.

Thanks for all the help.

I'm no expert but I've seen plenty worse! I wouldn't worry too much over it. Wear and enjoy.

If you don't have any really serious blemishes to address - personally I would probably skip the polish.

Thanks for the reply and reassuring advice. RSC fellows told me to leave it alone first. But my watch has been with me for almost 8 years. But I only worn them a couple of months per year. I was thinking of giving it a good servicing plus touch up the damages caused by cape cod.

I'm a nut with my cases, but I must be missing something here. The case looks fine to me. I don't really see anything, even at the little arrows. And I doubt that Cape Cods cloths can really round out a stainless steel case, unless you were doing it for hours and hours and hours. I'd leave it alone, and I wouldn't let RSC polish the case at all. Good luck either way.

I've brought the watch down to RSC and let the senior polishing technician have a look at it. He told me that the watch casing is still in great shape (not rounded off) and he would not recommend me doing any polishing job on it. He told me that my watch looks new and ask me to wear it more for the next 2 years before sending it in for servicing. I guess that settles it for me.
