1601 authenticity check please
Long time no see trf!
Hi everyone I'm looking around for my second 1601. I had a great experience buying my first one here on the forum so I decided to look for me second one here as well. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...highlight=1601 I came across this one tonight and I was wondering if you guys would be kind enough to give me a little help on it. My main concerns are that it's 100% authentic and original. I don't want to buy a franken-rolex that I won't be able to get serviced by rolex. Here are my questions: Does the case look ok? It looks authentic to me but I just want to be sure it's not over polished and I know some of you on here are much much better then me at seeing that. Is the caseback ok? It looks very odd to me but maybe it's just they way they polished it. Iv never seen a rolex with that swirl polished look on a caseback before. And from the pictures it's hard for me to tell if the middle of it is even raised. Bezel authentic? It looks a little thicker/taller then it should between the ends. Maybe it's just the angle? Do the hands look original? It's hard for me to really tell from the pictures but again I know a lot of you are better at this then I am. And the last thing that kind of bugged me a bit was the reference number, the 6 looks very off to me. Anyone else notice that? Thank you all so much for taking the time to read my post. I would appreciate any feedback I can get. Thanks again, Shane |

Looks good, all the lume dots seem to be in place (always worth checking, especially on a date model, and easy to overlook).
