Yep, the rehaut grime can be rubbed off… so to speak.
Looks like too much of the case has been rubbed off anyway.
I'd pass based on that.

The corrosion is not an issue.

I would not call it a full set, nor would I purchase it at a full set price, just because it has a blank guarantee booklet..

Yeah, I was going to offer a lot lower than asking, but I lost all interest once I saw the 9:00 minute marker missing.

I see edges and nice lugs on it. I may be wrong, and certainly would want to know the tells if I am wrong since I am still learning, but it seems like it could be cleaned up by someone who is an expert at lightly polishing vintage cases.

Let me know what I am missing!

Crown guards are very unevenly polished. It also has the wrong bezel insert - intended for a sapphire model. I would pass.

I already decided to pass based on the missing marker. I was going to send a low offer until I saw the marker issue. Bezel insert is easily replaced IMO.

I see what you mean with the crown guards. I didn't notice that! Even more reason to stay away...

eroded/uneven crown-guards - top one much worse!

The second hash is not a deal breaker. It can easily be fixed. I remember John posting his red and he had multiple hash lines repaired and u can't even tell the difference. The case is in poor condition though as stated above.
