Recommended Servicing - UK?
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this thread, I couldn't see any existing thread/posts.
I've been charged a rather large sum for official servicing of my 68 Sub (which involves updating what seems like most of it). So, I'm looking around for an independent servicer who can service the watch in a more sympathetic manner. I know a lot of you are American, but was wondering if there's any recommendations. I wouldn't necessarily be against sending it to the left side of the pond. Thanks. |

I've not done it (as I am still searching for my rolex) but I understand you can advise RSC to only perform a mechanical service and not to replace anything unless you state.
Otherwise perhaps you could try Mike Wood of The Old Watch Shop? Cheers SS |

Rolex Bexley RSC close to London had a very good reputation for a while.
What our fellow UK members say of it now? |

Mike Wood has been kind enough to send me a couple of PMs. He's booked solid for a while, but then I'm in no hurry.
But I'll investigate Bill Rice as well, thank you for that. |

Yep he is rebuilding my 1680 at the moment, Gabriel has had many watches sorted by Bill with good feedback. I trust his judgement when it comes to these things
Also try Mike Wood (The Old Watch Shop) in Liverpool. What he doesn't know on Vintage Subs isn't worth knowing.

Got the same dilema at the moment, my D serial Sub is 9 years old so about time to send it off.
Anybody know the current turnaround time at RSC and the price of a service without a polish, assuming it doesn't needs any parts of course. |
