Thinking of Trading Tudor 79090 and Rolex AirKing 5501 for 61' GMT Pepsi???

Hi am I crazy for thinking of Trading my Tudor 79090 Black Dial Head only and my Rolex AirKing 5501 on Alligator Just serviced at ABC Watch Werks for a 61/62 Rolex GMT Pepsi that looks like it has Service hands, bezel insert and Dial and the Jubilee bracelet is not original to watch. I know finding a Guilt dial for it will very costly if I can find one and the hands I can probably find a set to match the service dial that has nice patina.

That's a really nice 5501. I wouldn't let that go.

Gilt dial and hands -- very hard and expensive to get the right ones in the condition you will be satisfied with. You have 2 honest pieces...don't trade them.

Not making that trade those two give you way more wearing options! And finding a gilt dial and hands that is period still gives you a non original watch

A chapter ring gilt dial with matching hands in 5/10 condition will put you back 4k a mint set close to 8-9k IMHO

How old is the 5501? Late 60s/early 70s?

i would pass on that trade if it was me. You would do better just selling both pieces and buying the gmt you want.

I just cant see taking 2 watches that are complete for one gmt that you will have to find parts for. just my 2cents

Later than I thought, but very nice. Not sure it would reach your estimate with no bracelet though. Here's mine, from 1964.
