I would tend to agree with you, if the case were unpolished. Now with a clean slate I can add the battle scars myself

Not to mention the tales that go along with each scar.

Wear it well!

I hadn't recalled seeing an early 5513 done by them TBH.

Nobody is forcing anyone to have chamfers re-cut for that matter, and I can't recall seeing evidence of an unhappy customer from ABC with "incorrectly cut chamfers", so.............I guess maybe find me the experts somewhere worldwide that are cutting the correct chamfers for a given vintage based on the few "unpolished or unworn examples" out there. Maybe I'm just not as nit-picky, but I just couldn't be happier with the work they have done for me.

hey all that matters is the chamfer edges on YOUR Red are period correct and that your happy

I'm 100% positive that guys like Bob in Dallas and Rik in Florida are great guys and run good companies; I just haven't done any business with them so I can't comment.
I thought I'd tell you all about this episode.
I just got off the phone with Edvi at ABC about my 1500. Now let's remember they are in the watch repair business not a watch repair charity. He was giving me a quote for fixing a couple of small things when I said, "Well, go ahead..... how much is the service going to cost on top of the repairs?" I was floored when instead of clipping me for another 5 to 600 he said, "It doesn't need a service. We'll fix those 2 small things and send her back to you today."

Class act ABC, class act.

Nope. It's a rare Red lumi service dial.
