16013 5 mil serial
Hi Everyone!!!
Im back online, moved out from Cali back to the east coast and I was just given my grandfathers old watch. The rolex was just serviced by RSC and they had told my mother that they should look at having the bracelet replaced, other than that it was good to go and was cleaned up with a regular service. So finally I got it in my hands and its just stunning even more so that I actually got to wear this watch back when we went to visit Spain and the small town he was actually born in and just has a lot of memories for me. So with the good comes the bad... Rolex wasn't joking about the bracelet I really should replace it and to top it off my hands and wrist are just to big and the watch just wont fit me. So I have a question...Is there anyway of getting a new bracelet from rolex without giving up the existing one? My understanding is that pieces replaced are not returned to keep from parts just flooding the market or making frankenwatches. I would really like to keep it with the original watch and just put on the other bracelet so I could occasionally wear it. Second question. The bracelet doe not have any serial number on it. My understanding is that in the early 70s bracelets did not necessarily come with serial numbers. Is there any place that has information or pictures on this? This is another reason I do not want to give up this bracelet....I think it's pretty neat that it is from this particular time period. What |

Yes send it in on a leather band and say you bought it that way. You get f/all excuse the French for you exchange. Have you thought about having it repaired by Michael young. ???

I think I am going to leave the existing bracelet as is but it sounds like a leather band would work...
Is it possible to get end links for a leather strap on a 16013? I would really like to get a nice strap with a deployant. |

Ive done some research and I have seen similar bracelets matching the date online but I have not been able to ID who made these for rolex. Does anyone know where I can find this information or may be able to speak a bit about these?
