pam 111 crown guard

First off....I'm new to the site. I'm finding it a HUGE resource!

Question regarding the crown guard on the Pam 111 I sure someone here can answer....

Why is it brushed and not polished like the rest of the case?

I find myself having to go the the 177 in order to get a guard that matches the rest of the case.

I'd be all over buying the 111 if it was polished!

Any pam's that are??

Thanks ahead of time folks!

I have the same situation with my 422; however, I love it.

Someone will be along soon to help with the answer.

For now, welcome to the forum

Older 111s have polished crown guards. Not sure when they switched to brushed - perhaps after G or so...

Love the crown gaurd

The brushed makes the watch in my opinion. I definitely like it that way.

Yup, the Pam 104 is polished but the leaver is brushed. That was a major attraction for me with the 104. It looks like it belongs there since the entire case has been painstakingly polished to perfection.

Right, they moved to brushed and a little big bigger in G serial.

I used to own one and it never bothered me, now I own a 177 and I like it better, the 111 was too shiny and heavier.

no real rhyme or reason as to why the CG is brushed or polished, but the trend is definitely to have them brushed.

for what it's worth, my 164's CG is polished, the case is brushed and the bezel is polished. i quite like the contrasts.

You can have the crownguard polished if you want to, then if you get tired have it brushed back.
