Rolex Bubbleback

Dear All,

Does anyone know all the original dials that were produced for the Bubbleback SS model in the era 1940/1948. I am currently looking to buy one, and I have found a decent deal, yet I am unsure if the dial is original or not. It doesn't have the Rolex crown on the 12 position, but just below, and the markers are simple lines all along the dial, with no arabic numbering. Can this be an original dial or factory refurbished?

Thank you all in advance,
Luka

Sorry for not including a picture, I was silly enough to forget to take one.
