unfortunately selling my 233K

As much as I love this watch I have to sell it, It's hard for me being the kind of guy who buys watches to keep them, but unfortunately I fell in love with another watch which is very expensive, a Blancpain, and of course it is quite expensive even though I am getting a great deal with my favorite grey dealer plus detax since I live more than 6 months a year in Ukraine.

I never thought I would one day sell some of my watches, I am also selling my Daytona 116515 rose gold with ceramic bezel, which I also love but the Blancpain being also rose gold I don't see myself having 2 gold watches, and anyways don't have the financial capacity to keep it and get the Bancpain, it's a heart breaker but I really fell for it.

Has anyone here also had to sell watches that they love but to buy another that they love even more?

Yes

And mostly regretted it! I sold a PAM 190 and that still haunts me. Don't regret selling the last watch to get my 90 though.
Can you post a picture of Blancpain? By the way, I love the 233!

Sure here you go, GMT, mechanical alarm, date, small seconds, power reserve indicator, sapphire crystal back...

Cru, I can only sell the Daytona to get the BP, just have to add 1700 euros, but I also need money so that's why I'm selling also the 233…

Also the Daytona is very nice but honestly I've had a few chronos before and you practically never use the function, whereas date, alarm and GMT are very useful since I often travel, the Daytona is just about the look, basically it just gives you the time, nothing more, when the BP really has functions that you will use...

I have done it many times. Nothing is permanent and any decision can be reversed (at a cost). Do what makes you happy!

I say follow you heart and get what's singing to you. In the end, its all material stuff that can be replaced. With that said , I recently sold a couple of watches that I thought I would never let go. It just goes to show that we should never say (never). By the way, I will try to keep my 233 in my collect to the end, I love the strap game that Panerai allows you to play. Can't wait to see your BP

Thanks Anthony, can't wait to have it but to have it the Daytona must go, at the price I put it I think it should go within 1-2 months, then it's Blancpain time

How about you get the SS version (assuming of course there is one) & then you can keep the 233 :)

The SS version is not nice at all, here's a pic, anyways like I said I am selling the 233 not to buy the BP the Daytona plus a little cash is ok to get it, but because I need money for something else.

Here's the pic of the SS, I really don't like it:

Understand...
should be an easy sale (unlike a gold Daytona...).

Enjoy your BP (I love the FF "Aqualung L.E. myself )

FF are with the submariner the most mythical diving watches, they came out the same year if I remember correctly, seems FF came out 6 months before the sub, they were worn by french navy divers, it really is a legendary watch, but I won't get one for 2 reasons, they are too big IMO, and I already have watches that have diving watch look, sub, BLNR, and to an extent my pams which are also supposed to be diving watches, even though I would not go for a swim with my 82, it being from the year 2000, even if a thorough testing and if needed a little work on it should check or make it waterproof, I have my sub and BLNR for swimming, I mean the GMT goes 100 meters deep, since I don't dive with bottles the only depth my watches will be seeing is probably 3-5 meters lol
