Indy Repair Price vs. Rolex

Hello,

Wanted to get your opinions on a question.

So a friend sent his 92 Sub to 2-3 indy shops that are highly recommended on the forums.

I think his last service came in 99.

The indy repair prices came out to be roughly between 630-700 from the three shops.

My question is, at 630-700, if we sent it to Rolex, would the price have been that much more different? I advised my friend to do the really reputable indy shops that are recommended on TRF because they care about you and more importantly they don't price gouge. He was a bit surprised at the high estimates that he received.

The shipping money used isn't that big of a deal. He would def prefer Rolex if its 100-200 difference but if its a 300-400 he would rather go with the indy shop.

Thoughts?
