372 versus 5002 Big Pilot

Ok, almost did trade my 372 for 5002 IWC

mind you, i owned already 2 Big Pilots and sold them ... Do all good things come in 3 or should i be happy that the deal did not happen in the end.

I have also owned the BP twice. Love that watch, but it won't likely be back. In terms of flipping, third time is not really a charm...

The GMT IIc is probably getting the most wrist time. What do you wear most?

I love my BP 5004

372 is awesome, but I feel the IWC is really special!

I prefer the 372, but do you have other Pams or IWCs in your collection? I'm all for owning various brands.

I'd keep 372. Not big fan of IWC.

I have a mark 12 and a small pilot chrono with quartz mechanical JLC movement. But they are both 36 and feel smaller. But I like them.

personally i'll get the 5002, mint condition seems to be hard to come by lately
while on the 372, you can practically get them anytime you want, new or used

Tough call as I love them both, but given the choice, I would wear the 372 over the 5002.

I don't need the second hand anymore so I'd go 372 but both are great watches steeped in heritage.

I liked the 372 but eventually sold it because I realized that I need to have constant movement on my dial and eventually sold it. I was in the market for an IWC BP 5004 recently (a second time) and decided to try the BP 5002 instead and fell in love with it. BP 5002 will be a keeper whereas I would not buy another 372.

Arrived today. It is the one I sold to a friend. He wore it once and kept it in the safe. Now she is back. Welcome home.

5002 is my favourite BP, congrats on getting it back. I sold mine a few years ago and still miss it. Hopefully I can get it back some day :)

Looks great on you!

Seeing the picture if my 372 here makes me miss it ... Also I have all those nice straps ... Ok I can use them on my 210 but it is not the same.

honestly they are such completely different watches. IMO the BP is an amazing watch but you will miss the 372. In a perfect world you keep the 372 and add the BP to the collection, that's the only way to stop the cycle LOL!! plus as the saying goes "variety is the spice of life". If you have both and rotate them regularly, you will have that much more appreciation for them vs the daily wear.

Just my 2 cents

Great advice. But too late. 372 is gone for month already. BP is back.
