Coke or Pepsi GMT?

Which do you prefer? and why? i am in the market for a modern vintage GMT, preferably with sapphire crystal already and with oyster bracelet...the Coke bezel to me looks more formal, but i also like the splash of colors of the pepsi bezel and i guess its more popular because the color combo was used in the new GMT in white gold...

Pepsi is the classic. Coke was used for a much shorter time, and seems less popular.

Exactly, some people read too much into it. Just wear what YOU like

Personally I like the Pepsi because they're the original GMT colors.

You can always buy another bezel (Pepsi, Coke, or black) and switch it them.

I have a GMT with both Coke and Pepsi bezels. It came to me with the Pepsi bezel on it and I was surprised how much I like it. Originally I was looking for one with the Coke bezel when my watch came up for sale. I will likely switch to Coke in the colder months.

Just note that there might not be original Coke bezel inserts in for e.g. a 16750 GMT. A 16710; sure.

Why choose one when u can have both? Buy a Pepsi gmt and add a coke insert. Then you can swap them whenever you want.

And if you want to go more formal you can buy a all black insert. That's the beauty of the Gmt. So many great colors and combinations to choose from.

The GMT never came with a black/red insert; that was introduced with the GMT II.

So, there are no "vintage" models with the black/red, only blue/red or black.

Therefore, if you want sapphire and Coke, you're on the wrong forum.

Nice thing about the watch is you can switch whenever you want.

For me the all black is best.

I much prefer the pepsi bezel, but it's such an easy switch you might as well keep a coke on hand as well

Buy either one and you'll just end up buying the other one you didn't buy first...You can't escape the lure!
