Lovely watches. I am a big fan of the smooth bezel. I had a hard time choosing between the black or white dial ExpII 42mm.
I can only imagine the hard time I would have choosing between the Black, Blue and Silver |

I think I prefer the silver dial with smooth bezel. Blue with fluted bezel.

I just traded both my Black expy 2 42mm and my DJ2 rhodium- arabic for the white expy2 42mm and then the navy stick smooth bezel DJ2!!! I was debating between the rhodium and the navy stick when I purchased it new but I grew tired of it quickly. I also have a fluted bezel white stick DJ2 and that is for dressier occasions. The fluted bezel really makes this watch look incredible, also larger. There's something about the way it catches the light that makes it shine like an f'in disco ball! love them all! I think I'm going to trade this for a white or cream DJ2 two tone now something much different. I also love the green romans but I feel i'd eventually get tired of that one too.... over time, the classic stick dials- Navy, Black, and Silver are my favorite and if should be a staple in any modern rolex collection IMHO. |

Would love to know if people think Black or Blue Dial for me? I know it's personal preference, just wondering what others like more...thanks

From those pics, blue.
Side by side in the display case, blue. Pictured in a catalogue, blue. To me, black is neutral and matches a lot of (all?) different colored outfits (a nice thing). The blue is not quite as versatile, but what it does "match" looks way more stunning than black. For those times blue isn't such a good match with your outfit, you forgive it for the times it makes the ensemble great. |
