Please help identifying date of Rolex Precision steel watch
Hi,
New to this forum. Wanted to see if anyone could help with approximate date and any information of this Non-Oyster Rolex precision steel watch. The watch I have has the ref. # 9118 inside of case back and I heard this had Cal.1210 movement from the shop. Would this watch be mid-1960s ? and Rare ? Thanks in advance for any help. |

There is no serial number in my Rolex even though I look for wherever.
Just now I was said when I asked the shop which I purchased that a watch man had already erased it by polishing the back cover on which serial # had been carved. I was very very shocked. And I said that serial # might be carved at a position of 6:00 of the case side and the position of 12:00, but, he said this was not a normal type, that it is a rare watch (non-oyster case), and there is not . Will such a thing be possible? |

It is on the case back on thus model it can be polished out. Others I have seen are around 1 million serial number.

Is it 36mm in size? If so, those are apparently harder to find. But I haven't found prices either as they don't come up often.
