Goldfinger

I've just been watching () Goldfinger. I thought you may want to see a few grabs from the start of the film, which show the famous "Bond Submariner" on an 18mm NATO. Which precise model of Sub it is, seems still to be uncertain, according to Donald Grant's article.

Here's the pics...

First view of the Sub on a diver's suit with an 18mm NATO strap, clearly not wide enough to cover the pins.

The under-side of the NATO strap with what looks likes heat treated holes.

gold2.jpg

The famous lighter shot of the Sub, just before Bond's bomb explodes. Note his bezel has been moved since pic 1.

Hope you enjoy...

Goldfinger is one of my favorite Bond movies. Sean Connery is IMO the best Bond

As a Scotsman, from Edinburgh no less, I would have to agree.

Without a doubt, Connery was the quintessential and ultimate Bond; but I still think his most outstanding film was From Russia With Love!!

Connery was the best, but I like Bond period, end of story. I could watch them all over and over again and never tire of them. I am a Bond freakasaurous.

Not only do I have a No-Date Sub, but I have a Dunhill's lighter, too. And . . .

frankly, I'm beginning to be disturbed by my own obsessions.
