5167 sizing Q

So ive had my 5167 for a little while now and am seeking Advice as to whether I should cut on my section of the band. It is currently equal length each side so could take one from the 6 to centre it a tad.

Discuss.

Yes you should definitely. It's not sized correctly.

1 slice at a time !

I would choose to have 6 o'clock side shorter by 1 if needed.

Agree with what has been said. 1 section off the 6 side and then wear it for a bit and see how you go.

Its winter and our wrists shrink this time of year compared to summer. I would wait till the middle of summer before I cut that strap. I like my watches a little loose and yours looks similar to the way mine is fitting now. Just my thoughts on this.

While I agree, it is dead summer in Oz, where OP is located

I actually run 2 straps one summer and one winter. Well worth 250 to me.

On my 5164, I cut the strap on the "6" size 2 notches shorter than the "12" side. That centered the watch just perfectly on my wrist.

Oops! I did not look for the OP's location. Summertime, cut away very carefully!

+1
However it looks very long on the pic, slice some but not make it snug leave it loose fit and finish your sizing in the summer.

It is dead of winter here and here is what my 5164 looks like now. I will say I like to have one finger fit between the strap and my wrist. I do not like a tight fitting watch. The deployment clasp causes the strap to look like it is way too loose.

I like a tight fit, you scratch them less like that, but if I had an Aquanaut I would have 2 straps, a winter and summer one

Of course worth it, having a watch too tight in summer or too loose in winter is worth adding 250 to have a perfect fit 12 months a year...

I can very much relate to the issue. When I got my 5167, I was going through the same dilemma. I wanted it tighter (I like a tighter fit), but my AD kept saying to wait a month and see. I'm glad he was looking out for my best interests, because once you cut, you can't go back.

With that, I waited about 3 weeks and decided I'd take another slice off. Completely changed the way I feel about the watch and couldn't be happier. It just didn't feel 'right' before, now it's perfect (for me).

Attached a pic per your request.

I'd definitely take out at least another slice. Agree on the 6 o'clock side.
