Which President Do You Like Best?
Hello All,
Which one would you choose? A Rose Gold with a White Roman dial or A Yellow Gold with a Champagne Stick Dial? Thoughts anyone? |

I choose a platinum one with either the sky blue dial or the meteorite dial.

I choose the one I have, and feel lucky to be in the club.

Either the Plat with ice blue dial, or the rose gold with matching dial and romans. Oh yeah, the rose gold would have an oyster bracelet

Paulie, if your rose gold DD has an oyster, it's no longer a president. Besides, on that watch, the president bracelet is by FAR the superior choice, IMHO. |

I'm real fond of day dates but if I were to hit the lottery I would go with platinum with a meteor dial

Yellow Gold
I like the yellow gold because it is what most people consider to be "gold" and being gold it emphasises the dressy attribute of the watch, whilst the robust construction of the Day-Date makes it much more than a dress watch.
White gold and platinum ($$$) are both great, but if you already have some stainless steel watches then a yellow metal is a nice change, and there is no better watch to get in yellow gold than the Day-Date. My Day-Date is the gold dial with sticks, simple and timeless (I hope). Last edited by Lol-x; 17 February 2006 at 08:51 AM.. |

Agreed, Lol-x - if there was one all-gold Rolex to have, it would have to be the President.

I would take the gold with roman numerals.
Do you want my mailing address so someone can send me one?? ps, don't let Paul deliver it, unless it's insured first. ( wink wink nudge nudge)

My favourite would be the platinum with a white dial with raised yellow gold roman numerals.
Just wish the platinum came with a fluted bezel. So may have to settle for the yellow gold president with the above dial! |

I also have the same one as Otto's. To me, yellow gold....the firs one...the classic. Love the platinum, don't get me wrong; but 118238 (or even better a 1803), just a classic!

So many people seem to be steering away from your original question. Of the two you asked about I would choose the rose gold with white Roman. This is NOT because I don't like the other one. For the last 20 years my dress watch has had a champagne dial and I'm just tired of it.
All things being equal rose/white is the classiest way to go. |

I would go with the rose gold one with white dial & roman numbers, Yellow gold does not go with my other accessories

While Platinum would be my first choice hands down, between Rose and Yellow Gold, I would say Rose all the way!
I love Rose Gold! |
