A respected Rolex collector and dealer mugged and robbed
I am sure you have all seen pics of Mike Woods' fabulous collection. Well I hear he was robbed and put up a good fight but was bruised but OK. I do not know how much of his collection they got but he said they didn't get what they thought they would. He's in the UK. I use this for these types of problems. =) maverick

Hey Dennis,
Sorry to hear about Mike. Now tell me, is this the same Mike who posts on our forum...the one with the fabulous SS Rolex sports collection and the same guy who recently bought another vintage Sub? Thanks - JJ

Thats terrible. If it is the same Mike that JJ's referring to, he a very nice guy and very helpful, as well. I hope his losses weren't to substantial, more importantly I hope he wasn't hurt. Maverick, if you hear of anymore news, please keep us posted.

If you mean me,no it's a different Mike. The one Mav is refering to is Mike Wood owner of "The Old Watch Shop" in the UK. If there is a nicer guy I yet to see him post. Mike has THE best collection I've ever seen and has a tremendous knowledge of all things Rolex. He also has a great sence of humor, and is a true gentleman. He's made a couple posts on other fora. He's seems to be OK and is back open for business. I believe the bulk of his personal is well protected and was not at risk. We can only hope the scum that did this gets caught. |

Wow. It looks like Mike has cornered the market on SDs and ND Subs with a few Sub Dates and a couple of Zenith movement Daytonas thrown in for good measure.
